Rue du Liban

  1. You can find other ways to advertise your blog; if it was particularly well done I wouldn't have even bothered coming to this blog, but it's kind of an eyesore, despite the main principle of graffiti being disrespectful.

  2. This is a gift to a friend, for her birthday, it's her on the road. And this was done in 20 min, so yes, it's not gonna be the chef d'oeuvre of 2011. But as we know, freedom of speech and expression is something we think we have in lebanon, but apparently lack of.
Graffitis are not disrespectful, it's about freedom. I'm not painting on your room wall.
And your comment is welcome, 'cause freedom of expression is something I encourage.
    Cheers'

  3. Fair enough, but if we want to get technical here, freedom of speech/expression (which I fully support) is one thing, vandalism of public property is another thing, vandalism being the disrespectful part I mentioned earlier. While I suppose it's a nice gesture to do something like that for a birthday, dropping a tag of your URL diminishes the whole beauty of it, and comes off as a semi-permanent way of advertising.

  4. You may be right about the fact that dropping the URL diminished the value of it, but what's done is done. The second graffiti I did has no sign of the URL whatsoever.
And for the vandalism part, I checked that the wall wasn't attached to any building or habited property, and if this property needs to be fixed, I'm guessing they'll fix the wall too.
However, let me ask you something: you never parked somewhere where the sign said you shouldnt? Never drove on a road you shouldn't? Do you always drive lower than 80km/h like our highways indicate?
I never said my gestures or acts are perfect. I'm human afterall.

I'm liking this btw, smart people and conversation are rare nowadays ;)
